Printed balloons
Printed balloons sometimes called promotional or advertising balloons are now one of the most effective ways to promote or advertise a companys services or products. The printing is done using a silk screen method and the finished print is usually water resistant. Delivery times are within 3 to 4 working days from most suppliers subject to suitable artwork. When printing on to a latex balloon (normally done by machine) the balloon must first be inflated to around one third capacity. At this point between one and four colours can be printed. A separate print action is required by the machine for every colour required. The more colours there are the more expensive they become. The same printed process can be applied to foil balloons. All printed balloons baring either a logo or text are ultimately filled with helium balloon gas to make them float. Foil balloons will float for several days (ideal for exhibitions) where as latex balloons last for one day only so best for low cost events.
Printed balloons are used to enhance a wide variety of occasions such as wedding, private parties but mostly corporate events. The balloons used at weddings are normally pre-printed but can also be printed with the bride and grooms names etc.
Most are used by companys looking to promote their selling message in shopping centres, exhibitions or used in balloon releases. Apart from using helium they can be mounted on to cups and sticks and used for give-aways.
The selling message can be printed in a variety of ways to promote the products and advise can be give as to how best to achieve this.
When producing balloon decorations incorporating printed balloons it is best to add in some plain stock to pad out the arrangement before tying them onto a star weight. The arrangements can be large floor clusters or smaller table clusters where they are weighted down or simply tied to chairs.
