Corporate event management
Corporate Event Management for many is now an essential tool employed to ensure the success of events where the hosts need to be more involved with their guests on the day.If the host company employees feel that the task is beyond their man power for the size of the event this can be another good reason for bringing in a management team.It is often very cost effective as the managers will source the best prices for the required number and diversity of staff required to make sure the event runs smoothly. The management team staff are likely to have duties ranging from bar, security, waiting, lighting technicians etc.
Event managers are also likely to have a data base of suitable staff to call upon as and when required, this makes life a lot easier for all concerned when setting up for a large event which can be time consuming. This is useful if time is short.
At a recent music triple event in London, Birmingham and Manchester all on the same day, a total of 500 auxiliary staff were required in all.The duties were very varied but the client could not have managed without the services of a good Corporate Event Management team to coordinate things.
An essential tool is always two way radio and head sets. These are not used by all staff but some find it essential. For instance, production teams could not operate without them and this is a good example of communication which is very necessary on the night. There are many things to consider as an event manager such as how staff will all get to the venue on time, where they will stay over night if required, do they need food and drink to keep them going. Refreshments are essential.
Timing is another aspect that many event hosts forget at a Corporate Management Event. You dont want people standing around doing nothing because they are there too early.Timing is critical - otherwise the event overheads could spiral out of control!
